The Apostolic Church exists to serve the Great Commission. ‘Making disciples’ is a part of the mandate of the church since inception and the church understands that its distinctive doctrine of the release of the Ephesians 4 ministries of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher exists not as a stand-alone doctrine but the preferred method of raising a church focussed on mission. With the emphasis on ‘equipping the saints’ rather than the leadership gifts themselves, the church is intent on prioritising outreach, soul-winning and church planting through a vibrant network of churches in the UK as well as the work of increasing the church in number and strength in other nations through the church’s missions arm, Action Overseas.
The aim of the church is to have every congregation and every member active as mature believers in local communities of faith, worshipping, praying and growing together, while sharing faith at every opportunity.
